IIA learned that Volkswagen has released a new Multivan trailer. The exterior and interior of the new car will adopt a new design and is expected to be released in the first half of the year. It is reported that in the future, Volkswagen will only provide the Multivan series and no longer provide the T7 commercial vehicle version.

According to the previously exposed spy photos, the front face of the Volkswagen T7 continues the design style of the Volkswagen family. The more inclined A-pillar effectively reduces wind resistance and reduces fuel consumption. Although the car's network still retains a little camouflage, it does not rule out the possibility of adding a through-type light set. In addition, the new car adopts a "double A-pillar" design, and the small triangular window near the A-pillar can reduce blind spots and enhance the driving experience.

The rear shape of the car is also more three-dimensional than the current model. The taillights still adopt the vertical layout, and the small rectangular design on the current model is cancelled, and replaced with a more recognizable horizontal bar. At the same time, the landing height of the tailgate has been reduced.

In terms of power, the new car is built on the MQB platform and is available in gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrid versions. Among them, gasoline models may be equipped with a 2.0T engine, and the plug-in hybrid version is expected to be equipped with a power system consisting of a 1.4T engine + electric motor.
