On January 16, at the Qiankun Media Day event, Huawei officially unveiled the upgrade details for its ADS 4.1, focusing on three key dimensions: safety, experience, and fun. The new version introduces the eAES anti-sandwiching feature, effectively mitigating the risk of being squeezed by vehicles from behind and enhancing active safety protection across all scenarios. It also adds a "driver incapacitation roadside parking" function that automatically pulls over and dials emergency services. Additionally, human-driving assistance has been refined with features such as blowout stability control, hands-off steering wheel alerts, and defensive driving support at sharp curves and intersections. Moreover, the system improves intelligent decision-making during lane changes, supports three-point U-turns on narrow roads, and introduces engaging features like convoy travel mode and playful in-cabin themes. Huawei also revealed that ADS 5, HarmonyOS Cockpit 6, and the next-generation digital chassis XMC will be launched ahead of the Beijing Auto Show in April. The updated AITO M9 and the new Luxeed S800 will be the first models to feature the latest sensor suite and an LCoS dual-focal-plane AR-HUD.
