Li Hui, General Manager of BYD’s premium EV brand Denza, recently launched a prize-winning naming contest on Weibo for the “Denza Z Supercar,” entrusting netizens with the naming rights for this all-electric supercar. He stated that Chinese supercars should not merely replicate the past but instead embody innovation. The vehicle made its global debut at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, featuring a red-and-black color scheme that emphasizes speed and dynamic design. Technologically, the Denza Z is equipped with BYD’s Yun辇-M (Cloud Ride-M) system, the Yi San Fang intelligent chassis platform, and China’s first fully in-house developed steer-by-wire system. It offers features such as automatic misoperation detection, emergency collision avoidance, and self-learning of driver steering habits. Additionally, it comes with a mass-producible fully collapsible steering wheel and eliminates the mechanical steering column, enhancing safety and increasing driver cabin space by 14%. According to the company, its core objective is to create a “physically ultimate safety zone,” enabling drivers to unleash performance and passion with complete peace of mind.
