On July 26, Zeekr released an optimization notice regarding in-car system alerts for vehicles driven overseas. Previously, some users encountered limitations on certain vehicle infotainment functions during long-distance self-driving trips abroad due to the activation of the vehicle's safety protection mechanisms. The affected user’s issue has now been resolved, and Zeekr’s service team has established a dedicated support channel to ensure prompt assistance throughout the remainder of their journey. Zeekr has collaborated with its infotainment, digital, and after-sales service teams to adjust safety protocols for vehicles traveling overseas: First, a “Cross-border Protection” quick-unlock feature is now available in the Zeekr app. Owners can obtain a verification code with a single tap to unlock the system themselves, streamlining the process and improving efficiency. Second, Zeekr is developing a “Cross-border Protection Toggle” that will be delivered via an upcoming OTA update. This feature will be disabled by default, allowing owners to manually enable or disable it via their mobile devices before departure as needed. If enabled and restrictions are triggered overseas, owners can still unlock the system independently through the app. Third, for users already abroad or planning imminent travel, Zeekr has set up a priority-access line through its 24/7 customer service hotline (400-003-6036). In case of failed unlocking attempts or emergencies, users will receive immediate remote assistance. Founded in March 2021, Zeekr unveiled its brand and first model in April of the same year and currently offers multiple vehicle models, including the Zeekr 001.
