On May 21, Tesla announced on social media platform X that its Supervised Full Self-Driving (FSD) system has been approved for launch in Lithuania and the Netherlands, and stated that the system is also available for use in China. The system is an advanced driver-assistance feature that requires drivers to maintain full control of the vehicle at all times while using it. Under EU regulations, the system is classified as Level 2 driver assistance, with liability for accidents resting solely with the driver. Currently, the system is offered in Europe exclusively via subscription, and Tesla indicated that subscription prices will increase as the system evolves toward unsupervised autonomous driving. Recently, Tesla China posted multiple job openings related to intelligent driving testing, fueling industry speculation that the company is accelerating efforts to roll out FSD in the Chinese market.
