On January 16, 2019, the BMW Group exhibited the full range of BMW luxury cars with the theme "THE REALM OF LUXURY" in Shanghai. Three new models of BMW, The new X7s, the new THE 7 and the new THE 8, had the premiere in China. As part of the “Strategy No.1”, the BMW Group has upgraded its layout at the large luxury car class.

A full success of 2018
In 2018, the BMW Group sold a total of 639,953 BMW and MINI vehicles in the Chinese market, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%. This is the best sales record since the company officially entered the Chinese market in 1994, marking BMW's cumulative sales in China over the past 25 years more than 4 million.
In terms of performance of different models, the new BMW THE 5 has accumulated more than 160,000 vehicles in the whole year, up 29.4% year-on-year; BMW THE 3 has accumulated more than 150,000 vehicles in the whole year, up 5% year-on-year; the BMW THE 1 sports car has accumulated nearly 50,000 vehicles in 2019, up 32.6% year-on-year; BMW X1 sold more than 96,000 vehicles in a year; the new BMW X3 sold more than 7,000 vehicles in a single month in December;The new BMW X5 has sold more than 41,000 units a year.
