#Ford China Announces Leadership Changes

April 22, 2019, Ford China announced two new leadership appointments. 

Joseph (Yuehai) Liu, current vice president, Marketing & Sales, Ford China, is named vice president, Product Innovation, Ford China. This newly designed position will accelerate product planning and combine Ford brand DNA and smart experience to better meet the needs of Chinese customers.

Jason (Zongxin) Liu is named vice president, Marketing & Sales, Ford Greater China. In this role, Liu will have oversight of the marketing and sales operations throughout the Greater China region, and he will further strengthen Ford China’s marketing and sales capabilities.

#Hozon Automobile completed RMB 3 billion B round of financing

Hozon Automobile has completed the B round of financing of RMB 3 billion yuan, with the government industry fund as a lead investor and strategic investment capital as a follower. Up to now, the cumulative financing of Hozon Automobile has exceeded RMB 7 billion yuan.

#Beiqi Foton, Toyota, and SinoHytec jointly develop hydrogen-drive FC passenger vehicles

Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Toyota, and SinoHytec Co., a Beijing hydrogen fuel cell engine developer has reached an agreement to jointly develop hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles. 

#Tesla car appears to “self-ignition”, no casualties currently, Tesla said

On the evening of April 21, a Tesla electric car erupted into flames at an underground garage in Shanghai, causing many luxury cars in the garage to be burned or damaged. The residents in the community were evacuated. The official responded that there are no casualties currently.

#NIO ES8 spontaneously catches fire while being repaired

A NIO ES8 spontaneously caught fire while being repaired at Xi'an NIO authorized service center. After that, NIO responded: there were no casualties on the scene and no other property losses. The investigation of the cause of automobile burning has been started, and the results will be announced in a timely manner.
