1. BYD to build a battery factory in Changzhou, China, with an annual output of 400,000 units.
BYD plans to invest 10 billion yuan in the construction of an industrial park of new energy passenger vehicles and core parts in the Changzhou National High-tech Zone. It is estimated that after the completion of the project, the annual production capacity will reach 400,000 units, and the annual output value will exceed 50 billion yuan. The plant will simultaneously produce 10 models of the Dynasty series and e series, covering micro to large vehicles. At the same time, BYD also plans to build a R&D center in Changzhou.
2. From July 1st, Shanghai will officially implement the national sixth-stage emission standard.
Since July 1, 2019, the national sixth-phase vehicle emission standard will be implemented for the light vehicles registered in Shanghai (including vehicles transferred from other provinces and cities). According to incomplete statistics, Hangzhou, Hainan, Tianjin, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shandong, Chengdu, Hebei, Shanxi and other provinces and cities have clearly stated that the “National Sixth Phase Standard” will be implemented on July 1 this year.
3. LEADING IDEAL first retail center to open on May 1
CHJ's first model - LEADING IDEAL ONE was officially launched in early April. Recently, IIA learned from CHJ official that the first batch of retail centers will be officially opened on May 1. There are 5 retail centers opened in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The first five retail centers to be opened will be responsible for the display, sales and test drive of the LEADING IDEAL models, and the delivery and maintenance of the vehicles will be completed by dedicated delivery centers and repair centers, each located in a different location.
