1. GWM and 8 technology giants formed an alliance, striving to be the "AI mobility leader"
Great Wall Motor (GWM) launched its all-new intelligent connectivity strategy “GOT” (GreatWall Totally Online) on July 15 to solve the pain points for functional applications on vehicles and restructure its mobility service system.
At the launching ceremony, GWM also announced its partnership with eight companies, including Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, Huawei and Qualcomm, to jointly build the GTO smart ecosystem and develop 5G & AI-based experience-driven robots that can offer users full-lifecycle mobility services.
In order to promote the globalization of enterprises, GWM has released new technology strategies, including intelligent interconnectivity strategy, intelligent security strategy, and intelligent driving strategy. The GTO is part of the intelligent interconnectivity strategy.
2. NEVS and AutoX to deploy large scale RoboTaxi pilots in Europe by the end of 2020
Swedish EV manufacturer NEVS and the Autonomous Vehicle start-up AutoX have entered into an exclusive strategic partnership to integrate AutoX’s Autonomous Drive technology in NEVS’ next-generation vehicle architecture.
The partnership is directed towards a target of deploying the first large scale RoboTaxi pilots in Europe by the end of 2020, demonstrating and evaluating technology and design of a revolutionary world-first new vehicle type that will shape mobility for a more sustainable future.
