GWM’s Pao Pickup Commercial Version Starts for Sale on Oct.24

Great Wall Motor (GWM)’s new pickup, the Pao pickup commercial version has been pre-sold in Beijing. The pre-sale price of the two-wheel drive automatic transmission model starts from 111,800 yuan (US$15,775) in Chinese market. According to news that IIA got from GWM, this new pickup will go on sale on Oct. 24. The exterior and interior of the new pickup have changed compared to the passenger version. The pickup is powered by a 2.0T gasoline engine as the passenger version, the transmission system matches 6MT or ZF 8AT gearbox.

Compared with the passenger version, the Pao’s commercial version adopts a different design, and the style is more concise and succinct. The front end of the new pickup adopts a dot matrix design, and the headlights on both sides have a built-in lens. A larger trapezoidal grille is used below to create a wild character.

On the side, the commercial version is not much different from the passenger version, but the commercial version is equipped with a large black roll cage. The commercial version of Pao provides two variants, extended cab and crew cab. The body size of crew cab model are 5602/1883/1884mm, the size of truck bed is 1760/1520/538mm, the wheelbase is 3470mm, while the body size of extended cab is 5362/1883/1884mm, bed size 1520/1520/538mm, wheelbase is 3230mm.

The new taillights feature a vertical design. The rear cargo compartment is equipped with a ramp ladder card slot for commercial loading and unloading of goods. The tires are equipped with the wear-resistant and economical Maxxis 245/70 R17.

The interior design of the commercial version of is quite different from that of the passenger version. The lines of the commercial version are flatter. The large screen at the center console is matched with the silvery chrome decoration. The four-spoke steering wheel is equipped with multi-function buttons, which is convenient for operation and enhances the visual effect. In addition, the new car's center console embeds a 9-inch display and integrates the latest intelligent interconnectivity system, supporting such functions as high-precision speech recognition, entertainment control, and remote control. In terms of safety configuration, the new car will also provide dual airbags, ABS+EBD, body stability system, front and rear disc brakes, tire pressure monitoring

The commercial version is also powered by the GW4C20B 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 145 kW and a peak torque of 360 Nm. The transmission system is matched with a 6-speed manual transmission or a ZF 8-speed AT gearbox, and rear wheel drive and time-sharing four-wheel drive models are available.
