During the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, Dongfeng Honda's first pure electric vehicle X-NV was unveiled. The advent of the car represents the official implementation of the NEV brand plan of Dongfeng Honda's “Seeing the future”, and also indicates the start of Dongfeng Honda’s EV development.

IIA learned from Dongfeng Honda that the X-NV will be officially launched on the evening of October 30th. The car is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 120 kW. At the speed of 60 km/h, the BEV can have a cruising range of 532 km, while the NEDC comprehensive cruising range reaches 401 km.

The appearance of the X-NV basically continues the overall design style of the XR-V. It uses a double swallow-wing front end, and the headlights are based on black as the basic color. Together with the electroplated blue, it highlights the characteristics of new energy vehicles. At the same time, the new car also hangs the new Ciimo brand logo. At the tail, the blackened taillights are designed in a light strip. The body length of the new car is 4,280mm, 1,772mm, 1,625mm, and a wheelbase of 2,610mm.

The X-NV adds blue elements to the interior for decoration. In the center console, the new car is equipped with dual LCD multi-function dashboard, 8-inch touch screen, one-button start button and push-button shift. All models of the new car come standard with color atmosphere lights, 4G LTE networking features and Baidu CarLife smart phone interconnection which supports Android and IOS.

In terms of power, the X-NV is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 120 kW and a maximum torque of 280 Nm. It is equipped with a ternary lithium ion battery with a capacity of 53.6 kWh. The NEDC has a total cruising range of 401 km. At room temperature, X-NV DC charging (fast charging) takes 55 minutes from 30% to 80%, and AC charging (32A slow charging) takes 9 hours from 5% to 100%.
