GWM’s sales up 3.81% in first 11 months

On November 9, Great Wall Motor (GWM) announced sales figures for November this year, showing that GWM sold 115,162 new vehicles in November, a year-on-year decrease of 13.08%. From January to November, 954,290 new cars were sold, a year-on-year increase of 3.81%. Among them, Ora's cumulative sales in the first 11 months were 36,212 units, a year-on-year increase of 1,372.03%.

According to data released by GWM, 115,162 new cars were sold in November 2019, a year-on-year decrease of 13.08%. From January to November, 954,290 new cars were sold, a year-on-year increase of 3.81%. Among them, GWM exported 4,788 vehicles in November, an increase of 64.54% compared with the same period last year. The cumulative export volume in the first 11 months was 59,905 units, a year-on-year increase of 39.76%.

For the Haval brand, 83,378 units were sold in November, a year-on-year decrease of 21.63%. Cumulative sales in the first 11 months were 691,063 units, a year-on-year increase of 4.95%.

Among them, the sales volume of the Haval H6 in November was 41,676 units, a year-on-year decrease of 23.14%, and the cumulative sales in the first November were 344,699 units, a year-on-year decrease of 14.31%. The sales volume of the Haval M6 was 15,890 units, an increase of 12.71% year-on-year, and cumulative sales from January to November were 99,798 units, an increase of 72.14% year-on-year. The Haval F7 sold 14,015 units, with cumulative sales of 130,437 units.

For the WEY brand, a total of 10,450 new cars were sold in November, a year-on-year decrease of 8.16%. The cumulative sales in the first November were 90,649 units, a year-on-year decrease of 29.05%. Among them, 3,083 units of the VV5 were sold in November, and 19,278 units were sold from January to November. The VV6 sales were 5,307 units, and cumulative sales reached 52,869 units. The VV7 were sold 2,060 units, with cumulative sales of 17,858 units.

For the Ora brand, sales in November were 2,252 units, a year-on-year increase of 115.92%, and cumulative sales in the first November were 36,212 units, a year-on-year increase of 1,372.03%. Among them, the sales volume of the Euler R1 was 2,001 units, and the cumulative sales volume in the first 11 months was 26,195 units.

For the Great Wall pickups, 19,062 new cars were sold in November, a year-on-year increase of 39.37%. A total of 133,332 new cars were sold from January to November, a 7.04% year-on-year increase. Among them, the sales of Great Wall Pao were 6,259 units, which was a month-on-month increase of 24.68%. In November, the sales volume of Great Wall Pickup Fengjun series was 128,03 units, a decrease of 6.39% year-on-year.

On November 4, the Great Wall GW4C20B 2.0T gasoline engine was selected as the "China Heart" Top Ten Engine of 2019, which is also the sixth time that Great Wall Motor has won this honor. On November 11, the Great Wall Motor Taizhou vehicle project started construction. It is reported that this project will become one of the cores for the future development of the GWM East China market.

On November 29, the Spotlight Automobile Project, a joint venture between Great Wall Motors and BMW Group, was officially launched in Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province. At the same time, five directors and management of Spotlight Automobiles also made a collective appearance. It is reported that Spotlight Automobile is the first joint venture vehicle company signed after the release of the joint venture share ratio policy in China. It is also the first private joint venture vehicle project in China and the first joint venture vehicle company with products for the global market.
