It is reported that Toyota officially announced that the Toyota Motor Manufacturing France S.A.S. (TMMF) in France will produce a new SUV, which is built on the same GA-B platform as the YARiS. Earlier, the Toyota SUV was scheduled to be officially unveiled at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, but with the auto show cancelled, its launch plan was also postponed.
Since the launch of TMMF in 2001, the base has produced nearly 4 million YARiS, which has become one of Toyota's important factories in Europe. With the advent of the TNGA architecture, the base has completed the production line upgrade, and now plans to invest another 100 million euros to complete the production of the new SUV.

The president of TMMF said: It is a matter of pride to be selected by Toyota to produce a new SUV. The base plans to produce 300,000 vehicles this year. With the launch of this small SUV and the new YARiS, it is expected that these two models will account for about 30% of the total Toyota brand in the European auto market by 2025.
