Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC) released its 2019 annual report on the evening of March 25. The report shows that Jiangling Motors realized revenue of 29.174 billion yuan in 2019, an increase of 3.27% year-on-year, and a net profit of 148 million yuan, an increase of 61%.
It is reported that during the reporting period, in order to meet the increasing competition challenges, stricter regulatory requirements and rising costs, the company was committed to improving product quality, promoting new product research and development, controlling operating costs, and increasing production efficiency. In 2019, JMC sold a total of 290,058 vehicles, including 96,915 JMC series trucks, 59,486 JMC series pickups, 52,056 SUVs, 45,974 Ford Transit series commercial vehicles, and 35,627 JMC light buses. Total sales increased by 1.75% over the same period last year. .
Entering 2020, affected by the corona virus, Jiangling Motors sold 19,926 vehicles of various types in the first two months, a year-on-year decrease of 29.60%. However, during the epidemic, JMC resumed production within a short period of time and formulated a capacity plan for 1,500 Ford Transit ambulances according to market demand, of which 10 donated negative pressure ambulances to the epidemic area for free.
