On July 9, IIA learned from SAIC-GM-Wuling that the first batch of 542 new global cars, the Baojun 510, will be shipped to South America. The car is a global strategic model independently developed by SAIC-GM-Wuling and has complete independent intellectual property rights. It will also be exported to many overseas markets such as the Middle East, Africa and Mexico in the future.
In the first half of this year, COVID-19 had a big impact on international trade. Against this backdrop, SAIC-GM-Wuling achieved 38,786 exports, a year-on-year increase of 42%. In addition, the total sales in overseas markets reached 250 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 51%.
In July, Baojun 530 again received 2,045 new orders for the Middle East market, and the early delivery of the new global car Baojun 510 will once again promote export sales growth.
