IIA learned the news from BMW that the BMW iX3 will be launched online in Munich, Germany at 16:00 on July 14, Beijing time. According to official plans, the BMW iX3 will be mass-produced at the BMW Brilliance plant in Shenyang, China in 2020, and will be mass-produced at the German plant with i4 and iNEXT in 2021.
Although the body contour of BMW iX3 is very close to X3, it shows in detail that iX3 represents the future. One of the most impressive is its closed grille. Different from other BMW models, the iX3 uses a communication method between the two grilles, and the area is also enlarged by a certain proportion. The blue outline further shows the identity of the iX3 new energy vehicle.
The rear shape of the new car is "just the same" as the BMW X3. Due to the identity of the electric car, the BMW iX3 canceled the exhaust system and added a blue decorative element to the bottom of the rear enclosure, highlighting the distinctive identity of the new energy vehicle.
In terms of power, the BMW iX3 will be equipped with BMW's fifth-generation electric drive system, equipped with a drive motor with a maximum power of 210kW and a peak torque of 400N·m on the rear axle. Tthe new car is expected to be equipped with a power battery pack with a capacity of 74kWh. The cruising range under WLTP conditions is 440km.
