It is reported that the new flagship model of the Porsche 718 car series has added a 7-speed PDK transmission option. These include Porsche 718 Boxster, Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0, Porsche 718 Spyder and Porsche 718 Cayman GT4.
The 718 Cayman GT4 and 718 Spyder are equipped with a 4.0L horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 420 horsepower and a maximum torque of 420N·m. They are matched with a 6-speed manual gearbox and the acceleration time from 0 to 100km/h is 4.4 seconds.
The 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox has faster shifting speeds than manual gear models. After the replacement, the acceleration time from 100 kilometers to 3.9 seconds for the Porsche 718 Spyder and Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 models is increased to 3.9 seconds, compared to 200 kilometers per hour. It was 0.4 seconds faster before. The Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman GTS 4.0 have an acceleration time of 4 seconds from 100 km/h to a speed of 200 km/h in 13.7 seconds.
