BYD Dynasty Series recently released teaser images of two new flagship D-segment models and officially launched a naming contest for its upcoming "9 Series." Proposed names such as "Da Tang," "Da Han," "Tang 9," and "Han 9" have sparked enthusiastic online discussions. Some suggestions incorporate prosperous historical era names like "Zhen Guan" and "Wen Jing," or cultural motifs such as "Chi Tu" (Red Hare) and "Jue Ying" (Shadowless Steed) to enhance stylistic identity. Both vehicles exceed five meters in length and feature BYD’s next-generation "Dragon Face" design language, with a highly distinctive front fascia. The interiors blend traditional Chinese elements inspired by the Forbidden City and Dunhuang with modern technology. As pivotal products in BYD’s push into the premium market, the 9 Series models are expected to be priced above RMB 400,000.
