On January 8, SAIC Motor President Jia Jianxu led a delegation to Shenzhen to meet with Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei. The two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening cooperation for the "Shangjie" brand, future project planning, and the development of the intelligent automotive industry. SAIC stated it will continue expanding collaboration with Huawei to jointly drive the upward growth of the Shangjie brand. Previously, on January 5, Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC) Chairman Xiang Xingchu visited Huawei to discuss the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry and progress on ongoing collaborations. In 2025, senior executives from multiple automakers—including XPeng, GAC Group, Changan Automobile, Dongfeng Motor, and Chery—have also successively met with Ren Zhengfei, highlighting the industry's strong interest in partnering with Huawei in the intelligent vehicle sector.
