Volkswagen Group recently released its global sales figures for the full year and fourth quarter of 2025. Affected by weak demand in China and North America, the company delivered 8,983,900 vehicles worldwide in 2025, a slight year-over-year decline of 0.5%. Deliveries in China totaled 2,693,800 units, down 8% compared to the previous year. In the fourth quarter alone, Volkswagen delivered 719,800 vehicles in China, a 17.4% year-over-year drop. Although sales in Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe grew by 5.6% and 5.9%, respectively, these gains were insufficient to offset the downturn in the two key markets of China and the U.S. Notably, Volkswagen’s global deliveries of all-electric vehicles rose by 11.6% year-over-year in the quarter, highlighting continued momentum in its electrification transition.
