The all-new mid-cycle refresh of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class will make its global debut on January 29, featuring over 50% newly developed components. The updated model will be powered by the M177 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, replacing the current M176 unit. The new engine adopts a flat-plane crankshaft design and is paired with a mild-hybrid system, delivering a more exhilarating exhaust note. Exterior updates include a redesigned front grille and headlights and taillights now incorporating “Star Emblem” LED daytime running lights for enhanced visual identity. A new camera has been added to the front fender, likely supporting the latest advanced driver-assistance features. The side profile largely carries over from the current model. In the future, customers will easily distinguish between old and new models by their distinct engine sounds.
