SVOLT Energy recently unveiled a globally leading high-capacity HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) battery. The cell boasts a capacity of 10.8 Ah, with an onboard energy capacity ranging from 3.6 to 7.3 kWh. It supports pulse discharge at up to 62C and pulse charging at up to 47C, delivering an exceptional cycle life of up to 40,000 cycles—all without requiring external charging. The battery is compatible with existing internal combustion engine vehicle platforms, enabling automakers to complete platform integration in just four weeks, significantly shortening the upgrade timeline. Once installed, vehicles can reliably power high-demand features such as a 12.3-inch dual-screen display, AR-HUD, and L2+ advanced driver-assistance systems, as well as support high-power functions like stationary air conditioning and Sentry Mode—effectively alleviating the "range anxiety" commonly associated with traditional HEVs. Although its energy capacity still falls short of that of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), this innovative design offers a new pathway for enhancing the intelligence and functionality of conventional fuel-powered cars. Mass production of the battery is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of this year.
