The 2025 Japanese new car sales rankings have been announced, with the Honda N-BOX topping the list as the year's best-selling model, recording sales of 201,354 units. The Toyota Yaris followed closely behind, with annual sales reaching 166,533 units. As a long-time favorite in Japan's kei car (light vehicle) segment, the N-BOX continues to win consumer favor thanks to its practical interior space, fuel efficiency, and affordable pricing. These latest sales figures once again highlight the dominant position of domestically produced compact cars in the Japanese market.
