Qiao Xinyu, Deputy General Manager of the User Operations Center at BAIC Bluepark's Arcfox brand, recently stated that Arcfox has become China's first automaker to achieve full coverage of autonomous driving technologies from Level 3 (L3) to Level 4 (L4). The Arcfox Alpha S (L3 version), its L3-capable model, has received Beijing’s first batch of L3 autonomous driving test licenses, product approval, and road permits, and commenced large-scale pilot operations on January 10. Qiao emphasized that L3 represents true "conditional automation," not merely driver assistance, and that the vehicle can operate on highways at speeds up to 80 km/h, offering a significant competitive edge. It is reported that these vehicles were issued special license plates in December last year and will gradually become available to individual consumers in the second quarter of this year.
