On the evening of January 14, Dongfeng Motor announced that Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, recently led a delegation to visit Dongfeng, where they held in-depth discussions with Dongfeng’s senior executives on topics including the HarmonyOS ecosystem, AI technologies, automotive intelligence, and enterprise digital transformation. The two companies have been strategically collaborating for some time: they signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement in May 2025, inaugurated a joint innovation lab in September, and rolled off the first engineering prototype of their new brand “Yijing” in December. Unlike previous Harmony Intelligent Mobility models, Yijing represents a full-chain co-creation between Huawei and Dongfeng, covering product definition, R&D, manufacturing, and more. Vehicles under this brand will be equipped with Huawei’s full-stack intelligent solutions, including Qiankun Smart Driving and Harmony Cockpit. The first Yijing model is scheduled to debut and launch at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2026, followed by the introduction of at least one new vehicle annually to cover multiple market segments. Both parties will continue deepening the integration of smart vehicles and intelligent mobility solutions.
