On January 13, 2026, FARO, a subsidiary of AMETEK, officially merged with Creaform. The two companies have integrated FARO’s 3D measurement business with Creaform to form a new entity, FARO CREAFORM, dedicated to delivering high-precision dimensional measurement solutions for manufacturing and maintenance teams. Meanwhile, FARO’s existing reality capture business has been spun off into a separate company, FARO INSIGHT, which will continue offering globally leading reality capture solutions. FARO CREAFORM, led by Fanny Truchon, is committed to creating a “one-stop shop” for metrology and inspection services. FARO INSIGHT, under the leadership of Dietmar Wennemer, aims to build a comprehensive reality capture ecosystem. Founded in 1981, FARO and Creaform, established in 2002, each bring deep expertise and strong track records in their respective fields. This strategic integration leverages the resources of parent company AMETEK—which generates over $7.5 billion in annual revenue—to combine strengths and deliver superior, end-to-end technical services to customers and partners worldwide.
