SAIC Motor Corporation Limited released its earnings forecast on January 15, projecting net profit attributable to the parent company for 2025 to reach RMB 9.0 billion to RMB 11.0 billion, a year-over-year increase of 438% to 558%. Its net profit excluding non-recurring gains and losses is expected to be between RMB 7.0 billion and RMB 8.2 billion, up 229% to 251% year-on-year. In 2025, SAIC sold a total of 4.507 million vehicles, an increase of 12.3% year-over-year. Among these, sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached a record high of 1.643 million units, surging 33.1% year-over-year. Sales of its self-owned brands totaled 2.928 million units, up 21.6% year-over-year, accounting for 65% of total sales—an increase of 5 percentage points compared to 2024. Overseas sales stood at 1.071 million units, growing 3.1% year-over-year. In the 2025 ranking of domestic Chinese automakers by sales volume, SAIC ranked second, trailing only BYD by approximately 100,000 units.
