During a live stream on the evening of January 15, Lei Jun revealed that the next-generation Xiaomi SU7 is progressing rapidly, with physical vehicles expected to be displayed in select Xiaomi stores before the Chinese New Year. Pre-orders for the model opened on January 7, with a pre-sale price range of RMB 229,900 to RMB 309,900, and official market launch scheduled for April 2026. Lei stated that the vehicle has entered its final development phase and that display units will arrive in stores ahead of schedule. All variants will be equipped with Xiaomi’s V6s Plus super motor. Through four key upgrades—segmented magnets, optimized rotor topology, enhanced power modules, and an improved lubrication system—the motor achieves a maximum rotational speed of 22,000 rpm. This results in a 1.5% increase in CLTC combined efficiency, a 15 kW power boost for the Standard and Pro trims, and a 13 kW increase for the Max trim, extending driving range by over 10 kilometers under the same battery capacity.
