On January 16, trademark records from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) showed that Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed applications on December 9, 2025, for two "Tesla Intelligence" trademarks (Registration Nos. 89056746 and 89056741), covering scientific instruments and website services. The applications are currently awaiting substantive examination. Previously, in August 2023, Tesla quietly published its "Tesla In-Car Voice Assistant Terms of Use," revealing that its in-car voice assistant would integrate ByteDance's Doubao large language model (also known as Skywork) and DeepSeekChat. Although Tesla has not officially announced a specific launch date for its AI assistant, these consecutive moves indicate the company is accelerating its push into intelligent voice technology to enhance the vehicle's smart user experience.
