Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed on the social media platform X that the company's in-house AI5 chip design is nearing completion, and development of the next-generation AI6 chip has already entered its initial phase. He also stated that future versions—including AI7, AI8, AI9, and beyond—will be rolled out progressively, with the goal of shortening the chip design cycle to just nine months.
