FAW Audi Sales Company recently announced that the full-size SUV, the Audi Q9, will officially launch in the Chinese market in early 2027. Built on the PPC platform, the new model will offer multiple powertrain options, including V6, V8, and plug-in hybrid variants, with its global debut expected sometime in 2026. The Q9 measures over 5.2 meters in length, with a wheelbase likely exceeding 3.1 meters. Seating configurations will include a six-seater (2+2+2), a seven-seater (2+3+2), and a Horch version with four seats (2+2). Exterior highlights include a large blacked-out grille, split headlights, flush door handles, and a full-width taillight bar. Exhaust layouts will be available in either quad-tip (dual-side quad exhaust) or dual-tip (dual-side dual exhaust) configurations. The flagship variant will be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering a maximum output of 460 horsepower and peak torque of 660 N·m, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
