Dongfeng Voyah recently announced a comprehensive upgrade of the core production lines at its Yunfeng Plant, aiming to achieve an output of 60 vehicles per hour. Upon completion of the upgrade, the combined capacity of its Golden Plant and Yunfeng Plant will reach 90 vehicles per hour—equivalent to one vehicle rolling off the line every 40 seconds. The Yunfeng Plant now houses China’s first 100% domestically developed new energy vehicle production line, with all software, hardware, and control systems independently researched and developed, ensuring autonomy and controllability across the manufacturing chain. Originally an asset under Dongfeng Motor Group, the Yunfeng Plant was acquired by Voyah in July 2025 for RMB 723 million. Equipped with five major processes—including stamping and welding—the facility supports flexible production of both battery-electric and hybrid models, with an annual capacity of 150,000 vehicles, scalable to 300,000. The first batch of Voyah Zhiyin models rolled off this line in September 2024, and in December 2025, the 5,000th Voyah Taishan was delivered just 26 days after production began.
