On May 24, 2024, Hong Kong-listed smart driving technology company佑驾创新 (2431.HK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian automotive components supplier Sterling Tools Ltd. in Shenzhen. The two parties will collaborate to advance the deployment of intelligent driving solutions and localize component production for the Indian market.佑驾创新 will supply its self-developed ADAS and DMS systems, covering both passenger and commercial vehicles, while Sterling will leverage its nearly 50 years of local manufacturing expertise, distribution channels, and regulatory compliance experience to accelerate product adaptation. This partnership responds to India’s upcoming regulation mandating all new vehicles to be equipped with ADAS and Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning Systems (DDAWS) starting in 2027—a move expected to unlock substantial market demand. Both companies plan to establish localized production to optimize costs and strengthen the supply chain, while expediting regulatory certification and mass production. This marks a strategic shift for佑驾创新 from technology export toward localized operations, further advancing its global expansion strategy.
