On January 20, a press conference for the Shanghai International Embodied Intelligence Industry Expo (CIEI 2026) was held in Beijing. Co-organized by the China Association for Mechatronics Technology Application and Shanghai International Exhibition (Group) Co., Ltd., the expo will take place from July 2 to 4, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), under the theme “Embodied Intelligence: Igniting a New Era, Creating an Intelligent Future.” It was revealed that CIEI 2026 will span nine core sectors, including embodied intelligence platforms, perception systems, decision-making and cognition, actuation systems, battery energy storage, and intelligent connected vehicles. Covering an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, the event is expected to attract over 500 exhibitors and 50,000 professional visitors. Organizers noted that the global embodied intelligence market has already reached RMB 19.525 billion, and China has established a complete industrial ecosystem, urgently requiring a high-level platform to facilitate technological collaboration and industrial integration. The expo will be accompanied by multiple concurrent events, aiming to create an international industry hub integrating exhibition, exchange, and cooperation.
