On January 20, the 2026 SAIC Volkswagen Lavida officially launched in China, offering seven variants with an official manufacturer-suggested retail price ranging from RMB 120,900 to RMB 143,900. A limited-time starting price as low as RMB 83,800 is available, along with purchase incentives such as a New Year cash bonus and two years of 0% interest financing. The new Lavida retains its classic and understated exterior design and is available in four body colors, with optional 15- or 16-inch alloy wheels. It measures 4,678 mm in length, 1,806 mm in width, and 1,474 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,688 mm. Inside, the cabin features a dual-tone black and Misty Grey color scheme. Standard equipment includes an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch central touchscreen. Higher trims come equipped with Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems, while the top variant adds power-adjustable and heated front driver’s seat. Powertrain options include a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (81 kW) and a 1.5T turbocharged engine (118 kW), paired with either a 6-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed dry dual-clutch gearbox—delivering a balanced blend of practicality and value for money.
