The custom Acura NSX Roadster driven by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark in the post-credits scene of *The Avengers* will be publicly auctioned this week during the Sundance Film Festival. Although this deep-red convertible boasts a futuristic appearance, it is actually built on the chassis of a 1991 first-generation NSX and had already logged over 250,000 miles before its transformation. To align with the film’s conceptual design, engineers handcrafted a body using resin and fiberglass, lowered the ride height by two inches, and fitted 18-inch wheels. Aside from aftermarket replacement seats, the interior largely retains its original 1990s factory layout.
