Subaru has announced the reintroduction of a base trim for the 2026 WRX, starting at $33,690—$5,230 less than the 2025 Premium model. Arriving at dealerships this spring, the new base model not only offers a more accessible price but also comes with upgraded standard features, including keyless entry, push-button start, summer performance tires, sport-tuned suspension, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Additional standard equipment includes wireless smartphone integration, a rearview camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, and LED headlights. Additionally, the 2026 lineup introduces a limited-edition WRX Series.Yellow, priced at $47,190, featuring Sunrise Yellow paint, 19-inch black wheels, and interior stitching accented with yellow thread. The higher-performance tS variant is priced at $46,190 and comes equipped with Brembo brakes, Recaro seats, and STI-tuned dampers. All 2026 WRX models are powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine producing 271 horsepower, paired standard with a six-speed manual transmission. This move is expected to help reverse the 41.2% sales decline the WRX experienced in 2025.
