At the recently held 2026 J.LPOWER Changchun Forum and the 2025 Forbes China New Luxury Index for Intelligent Battery Electric Vehicles, a total of 20 premium electric models priced above RMB 300,000 were listed, spanning four categories: sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and sports cars. Featured models include the NIO ES8, AITO M9, BMW i7, Li Auto MEGA, and Rolls-Royce Spectre. Forbes China emphasized that traction batteries are a critical factor in evaluating the quality, safety, and comfort of luxury electric vehicles. According to data, 60% of the listed models are exclusively powered by CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) batteries, with the penetration rate reaching as high as 80% in the pure-electric SUV and MPV segments—highlighting CATL’s pivotal role in the premium new energy vehicle market.
