On January 21, BMW officially launched the 2026 iX1, a compact all-electric SUV, offering four trim levels with a starting manufacturer's suggested retail price of RMB 228,000. As BMW’s urban-focused electric SUV, the new iX1 continues the brand’s sporty design language and features further upgrades in intelligence and range, aiming to meet young consumers’ demand for premium electric mobility. Sales of the new model have already begun, positioning it to compete against popular all-electric SUVs in its segment.
