On January 22, Leapmotor announced that its D19 successfully completed the world’s first real-world test of simultaneous dual-wheel blowouts on the same side under extreme icy and snowy conditions. The vehicle remained stable and controllable at high speeds of 80 km/h and 120 km/h on both split-surface roads (ice/asphalt) and pure ice/snow surfaces. Blind pre-orders for the new model opened on November 1, 2025, with a refundable deposit of RMB 999 granting access to multiple benefits. Built on Leapmotor’s flagship D platform, the D19 offers both all-electric and range-extended powertrains: the range-extended version delivers a combined output of 400 kW and a pure electric range of 500 km, while the all-electric variant boasts 540 kW of power and a CLTC-rated range of 720 km, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds. The vehicle features 16 structural components made of 2GPa ultra-high-strength steel, is powered by dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chips, and includes VLA advanced driver-assistance systems and a three-screen interactive cockpit. Its second- and third-row seats offer extensive functionality, delivering a balanced blend of safety, intelligence, and comfort.
