The SC01, an electric sports car developed by a Chinese startup automaker, is set to launch in the European market but will not be sold in North America. Inspired by the classic Lancia Stratos, the SC01 features a dual-motor layout delivering a combined output of 429 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds. Its 60 kWh battery pack is mounted behind the cabin, contributing to a total vehicle weight of approximately 3,009 pounds—comparable to that of a Porsche 718 Cayman. The body combines aluminum panels with a tubular spaceframe chassis and pushrod suspension, blending design cues from both the Stratos and the Tesla Roadster, with an overall length of 161.8 inches. Inside, the minimalist cabin features only a digital instrument display and physical HVAC buttons, retaining a traditional handbrake. Pricing and exact launch timing for the SC01 Europe have not yet been announced, but the company has confirmed a limited production run of 1,000 units for the European market.
