On January 22, Seyond announced it had secured a定点 (nomination) from a globally renowned automaker for its 4D imaging radar project, under which it will supply front-loaded radar systems for multiple vehicle models. The company’s SFR-2K radar enhances traditional millimeter-wave functionality with added elevation-angle perception and integrates Seyond’s proprietary SOD algorithm, significantly improving detection of small stationary obstacles. This addresses the limitations of vision-based sensors in adverse weather conditions and strengthens all-weather safety redundancy for intelligent driving systems. The product is already in mass production on vehicles from brands including NIO and ONVO, with cumulative shipments reaching 300,000 units by 2025. Having passed rigorous audits by international automakers, Seyond has established dual manufacturing facilities in Shanghai and Xiamen, both certified to IATF 16949 standards, with a combined annual production capacity of up to 10 million units to fully support global delivery demands.
