In 2025, BYD sold a total of 11,184 vehicles in Singapore, capturing a market share of 21.2%—surpassing brands like Toyota and BMW for the first time to become the year’s best-selling automotive brand in the country. It was also the only brand in Singapore to exceed 10,000 annual sales units. In December alone, BYD sold 1,561 vehicles, marking its twelfth consecutive month of sequential growth. Looking back over the past three years, BYD’s sales in Singapore surged from just 1,416 units in 2023 to over 11,000 units in 2025—a remarkable three-step leap. Meanwhile, Toyota’s 2025 sales in Singapore declined to 7,488 units, and other premium brands such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz also saw downward trends. Globally, BYD sold 1,049,601 passenger cars and pickups overseas in 2025—an impressive 145% year-over-year increase—surpassing the one-million-unit milestone for the first time and securing the top sales position in multiple international markets.
