At the Geely Holding Group Strategy Briefing held on January 22, Geely Auto Group CEO Gan Jiayue announced that the company’s self-developed all-solid-state battery is expected to see its first battery pack roll off the production line in 2026, followed by vehicle integration and validation testing. Geely is advancing a multi-pronged technology strategy, simultaneously developing the Raytheon AI hybrid engine, the SEA Super Hybrid technology, and the "Shield Golden Brick Battery." The industrialization of both semi-solid-state and solid-state batteries is also progressing steadily. In 2025, Geely Holding achieved total annual sales of 4.116 million vehicles, up 26% year-over-year; among these, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales reached 2.293 million units, surging 58% year-over-year, accounting for 56% of total sales. This performance propelled the group to seventh place in global vehicle sales rankings. The move also aligns with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s policy directive to accelerate breakthroughs in key technologies such as all-solid-state batteries.
