BAIC BluePark New Energy plans to invest RMB 1.991 billion in the "Luxeed Super Factory" project, aimed at industrializing high-end platform vehicles and enhancing digital and intelligent manufacturing capabilities. The project will upgrade key processes and equipment at the factory to enable production capacity for the BE223.0 high-end vehicle platform, strengthen the manufacturing system, and enhance brand competitiveness. Luxeed is a premium sedan brand co-developed by BAIC and Huawei. Its current lineup includes the Luxeed S9 and S9T. In December 2023, combined sales of these two models reached 8,815 units, with their terminal transaction prices continuing to rise—challenging the long-standing dominance of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi (BBA) in the luxury car market. The Chairman of BAIC emphasized that the company will go "All in" on the Luxeed S9 as its core strategic priority.
