Multiple overseas Tesla owners recently confirmed on social media platform X that their newly delivered 2026 Model Y vehicles are already equipped with HW 4.5 (Autopilot Hardware 4.5) driver-assistance hardware. Photos shared by owners show that both All-Wheel Drive and Performance variants produced at Tesla’s Fremont and Austin factories feature the marking “AP45” beneath the glove compartment, with part number “2261336-02-A.” Additionally, Tesla’s electronic parts catalog lists HW 4.5-related components priced at $2,300 (approximately RMB 16,034). Although Tesla has not officially announced the update, multiple lines of evidence indicate that HW 4.5 is already in use in the latest Model Y. According to well-known Tesla hacker @greentheonly, HW 4.5 may adopt a triple-SoC architecture, which—compared to the current HW4’s dual-SoC design—could enhance computational power and system fault tolerance.
