To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Porsche Motorsport, Porsche and its long-standing partner Penske Racing secured a historic three-peat victory at the 2026 season opener—the 24 Hours of Daytona. Brazilian driver Felipe Nasr became only the third driver in history to achieve this feat, following Helio Castroneves and Peter Gregg. This win not only marked a spectacular start to the 60th anniversary of the Porsche-Penske partnership but also underscored Porsche’s enduring dominance in motorsport since its racing debut in 1951. From the legendary 917 and 962 to today’s 963 prototype, Porsche has continuously transferred track-proven technology to its road cars, reinforcing its brand DNA: “Born on the track, built for the road.” Team owner Roger Penske stated, “This victory is the ultimate tribute to our entire team’s decades of dedication.”
