BAIC Off-Road announced that it will launch the pre-sale of the BJ40 Extended-Range Yueye Flying Edition on January 27, alongside the simultaneous release of the fuel-powered Jumu Edition and the extended-range Chitu Edition. The standout feature of the Yueye Flying Edition is its dedicated drone storage compartment integrated into the roof, enabling onboard drone support and expanding new off-road scenarios. The Chitu Edition features a vibrant "Chiyan" red body color and mech-inspired styling, enhancing its rugged off-road character. Meanwhile, the fuel-powered Jumu Edition comes standard across all trims with a 2.5T towing rating and a larger center console display. The current BJ40 extended-range model is powered by a 1.5T range-extender system, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price ranging from RMB 179,800 to RMB 204,800. It measures 4,790 mm in length, 1,940 mm in width, and 1,964 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,760 mm. Standard equipment includes 20-inch wheels and a full-size spare tire mounted on the rear door.
