Fujian Benz recently announced that construction on its new energy commercial vehicle platform project officially commenced in September 2024, with a total investment of approximately RMB 4.5 billion. The facility is scheduled to be completed and enter production in 2026. Based on Mercedes-Benz’s new all-electric VAN.EA architecture, the project will focus on producing two premium electric MPV models. The new plant will feature a fully digitalized intelligent management system and aims to become a "benchmark green and smart manufacturing facility." During the construction phase, Fujian Benz is simultaneously upgrading its existing production lines, implementing a digital energy management system, and introducing multiple green initiatives across its supply chain and logistics operations. These efforts have already earned the company recognition as a "National Green Factory." Additionally, the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative, the "Morning Star Program," has achieved significant results. Upon the new factory’s launch in 2026, Fujian Benz will complete its comprehensive transformation from traditional manufacturing to green, intelligent production.
