SAIC Motor's MG brand recently released a teaser image of an all-new electric sedan. The vehicle features a dynamic coupe-like silhouette, equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR and semi-recessed door handles, blending sportiness with advanced technology. Although official details have not yet been disclosed, its overall profile closely resembles the current MG7, leading industry observers to speculate that this could be an all-electric version of the MG7. Earlier, MG launched the 2026 model-year gasoline-powered MG7, offering 1.5T and 2.0T engine options, priced between RMB 137,900 and RMB 178,900, with a limited-time subsidized starting price as low as RMB 116,900. The new electric model is expected to carry forward the MG7’s design language while further enhancing its intelligent features.
